The Story of Blind Santa
Back in the day Blind Santa was Sighted Santa. He enjoyed everything a regular kid loves to do: play sports, go fishing, enjoy his dog, climb trees, jump from trees, early Santa training, swimming, talking to girls, (as Santa you need to be able to talk to both boys and girls for proper Santa training), singing (helps with Christmas Caroling).
Then Summer of 8th grade showed up and coaching T-ball became a lifestyle. And getting paid for it by the recreation department didn’t hurt either. Well, Summer days became Fall days. Flag football became the new coaching opportunity. Gotta love the recreation department, they were an easy bank.
Then a young man who loved to laugh received a fortunate break. Two department stores offered this young man an opportunity to be Santa. Having reached early puberty, the young man’s voice could really let out a “Ho, Ho, Ho!” Both department store owners recognized this budding Santa. It worked out so well for the would-be budding Santa.
The young man now had the joys of Santa each year all the way through college. Each year the “Ho, Ho, Ho!” became richer, fuller, and more mature. The Ho, Ho, Hos developed each year as Santa called balls and strikes for the recreation department while umpiring.
After college life changed cause, a man has other duties to attend to. Since Blind Santa is timelessly eternal years passed until December of 2014 took all of the former Santa’s eyesight and low and behold, Blind Santa was born. No time for despair. Blind Santa honed his skills.
One of the positive things Blind Santa found was an improvement in his karaoke singing. Singing as frequently as possible kept Blind Santa happy. Thank goodness people liked Blind Santa’s singing because he did not feel the pain of audiences of throwing rocks or at least being kind enough soft tomatoes.
Blind Santa wants to share his joy of life with all of you. Blind Santa knows Mrs. Claus loves him because she makes great chocolate chip cookies and has never left him at a roadside rest. HO, HO, HO!

The Rest of the Story
A Miracle started for Blind Santa in July 2025. Blind Santa believes in the Power Of Prayer, and Blind Santa prayed that God would communicate, show, and tell whatever He wanted to get across to Blind Santa, while he was asleep, and be aware and conscious enough, not to miss a thing…and please share Gods’ Wisdom too. That night God told Blind Santa, He (God) had fixed his occipital area of Blind Santa’s brain; that he could now see and God had put a protective sheath over Blind Santa’s eyes. Blind Santa woke up when the nurse turned on the room lights and Blind Santa saw the light !!! Out of the dark Blind Santa saw the light !!! Wowzer !!! The nurse said she was going to scan his hospital bracelet, and that’s when Blind Santa asked the nurse what the red light was; she asked Blind Santa if he saw the red light? He enthusiastically replied…Yes.!!! She said that was the laser to her scanner. Joy filled the room. Another nurse at the sametime walked up to Blind Santa’s left and Blind Santa asked if she was wearing a red blouse ? She said,Yes Santa, I am wearing a red blouse !!! Great joy and excitement then became the order of the day !!! The whole hospital was buzzing with the news of all that had occurred to Blind Santa; the very possibility , Blind Santa was getting his eyesight back was a Miracle !!! Blind Santa immediately called his “Brother from a Different Mother” named Robert, and shared the great news. Robert, a man of Faith and Believer in the Power of Prayer said to Blind Santa, God talked to you while you were sleeping, then you saw light, then you saw red not once, but twice !!! This is a Miracle my Brother !!! Robert,suggested cataracts may have grown over Blind Santa’s eyes while he had been blind for over a decade; suggesting Blind Santa call CommonwealthEye Surgery In Lexington, Kentucky who had removed his wife’s cataracts. Blind Santa did that, told them the story, they then told Blind Santa this was indeed a Miracle !!! So,Blind Santa, by the Grace of God, did in fact have the cataracts removed; the right eye on Oct first on September 29, 2025, and the second cataract on his left eye on October 13, 2025
Gods’ Power of true Grace was shown not just to Blind Santa, but to the whole World, and just in time for the World to see Gods’ Grace but at a time so close to Christmas Time !!! Amen, Amen, Amen !!! This is a reminder that God still does Miracles…how absolutely Miraculous !!! Gods’ Grace for all to see !!! As Paul Harvey used to say, quote, “and for the rest of the story,” Blind Santa is now Sighted Santa !!! There is a story behind this story; the new Sighted Santa was told, if a person has been blind for 6 months or longer, they can kiss having cataract surgery goodbye. That one has to understand, they must accept, they will be blind for the rest of their life. Yet, after being blind for over a decade…over a decade, Blind Santa, is now Sighted Santa !!! Ho Ho Ho !!!!!!!! And we all can say, Amen !!! Amen to all of Gods’ Miracles and the true Power of Prayer !!! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you all….Ho, Ho, Ho, ya all !!!
